Changes

My eldest son is quite short for his age. I am thinking if I have to buy him a human growth hormone supplement. They say that when a young boy already went under circumcision, there will be abrupt changes in height and there will be a change in voice from a boyish high-pitched one to the more modulated husky manly type. All of those changes are not yet visible with my son. Anyways, he is still young at fourteen. I hope he will gain more height. Right now, he has not reached five feet.

No more black and white

During our recent trip to the shopping centre, we saw the display of the latest plasma tvs in town. I am amazed by the technology. Before, we only have black and white TVs. Today, I do not know if there is any home still with a B&W TV. Moreover, the in thing nowadays are those flat screens or plasma TVs. My kids asked me if I would buy one. I just smiled at them and told them that maybe in the future. I still have to wait until my salary could already afford the price tag.

Dirty Laundry?

Exposing or broadcasting you dirty laundry to the public is a form of honesty? What if it is not actually being asked? Can you just keep quiet about it? These questions entered my mind while watching a noontime TV show. One contestant was telling about her life story and she said that before, they could buy anything they wanted because their parents were doing something illegal. She did not blurt it out in public but she whispered it to the TV host. The host told her to protect her parents and need not to tell about it to anyone anymore. She said that her parents already changed their ways.

Let us go shopping

Ask the kids what does Black Friday mean and you will get the literal meaning. Friday is colored black? Now, ask a woman about it and it is totally a different answer. It means shopping! I hope that it would be renamed to Women’s Day! Ha,ha,ha! Well, that is actually far from my worries right now because I do not have a lady in my life. However, I love to go on shopping on my own especially during Sale season. Here in our country, almost all of the leading department stores have its Sale day during paydays. Pretty clever!

Happy Birthday to Me!

It was my birthday the other day. No one greeted me! Kidding aside, there was a small celebration with the kids. The usual father and sons bonding. We went out and stroll in the mall. Early Christmas shopping? Not yet. It was my birthday. We went out to have a little fun. Thanks to my boss who allowed me to take a leave. So, Happy Birthday to me!

It is Christmas time

The big artificial christmas tree at the heart of the shopping center where I work is always a pleasant sight. It is already decorated by December 1. It is hard work to make it stand but it is all worth it knowing that it will make a person’s heart light and help us realize that, yes, it is Christmas time. It reminds us of God’s great love.

Laptop surprise

We already have a computer in the house. Only a desktop type though. Now, my eldest son is asking me to buy him even a refurbished laptop. I do not see anything wrong with it. I think every kid in town now has a laptop. As long as he will use it for his education, I will buy him even a new one. Now, that will be a good news for him. I hope that he does not read this blog of mine. I want it to be a surprise for him.

Missing Dad

I am looking at cigars online and I remember my late father. He used to smoke. Every morning, I could see him by the balcony with his cigar, coffee and newspaper. I miss my father. I was his favorite son. I hope I was able to show him how much I love him also. He’ been very good to me and my sons.

Higher pay

I work in a department store. I am in the maintenance department. I am exposed to all kinds of supplies and materials that might be needed in case something breaks down like industrial handles, emergency lights, piles and piles of wood, cans of paints, bulb lights and so many others. It is not only when something bis broke that we replace it but we also do with other materials in a regular basis. I usually work during night shifts. Well, that is for a higher pay check and for me to have more time with my two sons.

Keep on moving

As long as there is motorhome towing service, I think I would consider living in a trailer or a moving van. I just hope that they will be available twenty four hours a day. You know, the hassle of being stranded or not being able to reach your destination because you are stuck somewhere. That could really be frustrating.

Now, I am excited and would try to look for nice van houses. With the recent typhoon and flash flood, I think it would be safer to just keep on moving.
