We must try to lose weight

Everybody in the house is overweight except for my youngest son. Yes, he is out of place. He is always on a quick weight loss program. That is what we just tell friends who ask. Ha,ha,ha! I do not really know but this son of mine is really on the lean side. Good for him though! Well, I do not like him to gain much weight because it is hard to lose those pounds once you have it. Just like what I have right now.  I really hope that this 5 to 6 inches of fat be gone soon. I doubt if it will because of the Holiday season. However, I know we all must try.

Lesson learned

Yes, just like many Filipinos, our house is somehow destroyed by the recent typhoons that reach our country. There are lots of repair to be done. There are lots of things to buy. That is why I have not been around lately. I am already tired when I get home. All I want is to sleep. Then in the morning, I have to wake up and work again. Somehow, it is really hard. I should have considered a trailer van complete with motorhome insurance or I should have insured my home. Well, lessons are really learned after experiencing it and not before. I know now.

Instant repair

There are many vehicles for repair every year. Car parts are really good business. There are many repair shops that earn a lot each year. There are others though that are not doing well. Maybe because of the quality of car parts and its affordability. Those two are really two of the topmost reasons why a car shop or a repair shop is being patronized. Here in our country, we have the Banawe which is more like of Mopar parts in the States. When your need something from the smallest car accessory to major motor parts of your vehicle, people will suggest for you to go to Banawe. It is a place in our country where there are many stores selling car parts. One thing more, there are also repair boys that could do instant fix like side mirror replacement and the like. Amazing, is it not? As they say, only in the Philippines.

More work means more pay

The head of our team told us that there will be additional construction workers at the mall I am working for by next week. What is the reason? All the ceramic tiles at the sink area will be replaced with stainless steel tiles. I think it is a good idea and moreover, it means more work for us. More work means overtime pay and that is most of us need especially that Christmas is near.

Fishing and exercise

Do you love fishing? My son does and so is his cousin and so is my sister-in-law! Really, they are all addicted to Fishville! Well, talking about online gaming, huh! Somehow, it is like taking care of your own fish. Oh, the term is not right. It is not actually fishing because they do not really catch fish. What I mean is they love to take care of their own fish in an aquarium. I think it is good since it promotes awareness on how to have a pet. Just do not let it rule your life.

Talking about my sister in law, I might just give her an aquarium this Christmas so that she could have a real one. I am thinking of Kettlebells too. You know, she has to do some exercises already. My brother told me to actually look for diet pills since I work in a mall. I thought, an exercise equipment will be better.

Cold season

It is cold season here once again. I know that to compare with the cold season in other countries, the freezing air is just mild here. However, because of the nature of the human body’s temperature here being in a tropical country, this coldness is really the coldest for us. Sometimes, we really have to use so many blankets for sleeping or we have to turn off our electric fans and air-con units. I heard from my friend that they actually bought an electric blanket to use during the season. I think that it is a great idea. For us, the real blankets will be useful enough for the meantime. When I have the money, I might consider an electric one too.

Versatile

I went to my brother’s house yesterday. I noticed that his house has a bare flooring already. He is now considering tile flooring. He is now thinking or his mind is torn between wood parquet and ceramic tiles. You know, having wood is classy but ceramic tiles are more versatile. Using ceramic tiles is really more advantageous for me because of so many reasons. One, easy to clean. Two, more affordable. Three, looks clean. Four, looks cold and creates a light atmosphere. Five, that is what I have right now. Oh, well, yes, I will definitely choose ceramic tiles over wood, marble or any other kind of flooring.

Thank you sheriff

Who is afraid of the sheriff? What is a sheriff? A sheriff is someone who is in charge of confiscating your personal properties according to the law if you owe someone and you cannot pay for it. That person might go to the court and demands payment. Sometimes, the verdict will be for the sheriff to just confiscate any valuable item from your house that will be enough to cover for your unpaid debt. That is how I understand what a sheriff is. Normally, it is also a policeman or there is really no difference? A policeman could be a sheriff.

Anyways, I know a lovable sheriff. I am sure other bloggers know this sheriff too!

Christmas bonus

I have not been here for a while. I have been busy with a lot of things lately. As most of you know, people here in our country are still in the rehabilitation process. You know, those affected by the typhoons who have lost most of their personal belongings and personal properties are still trying to recover. That includes me? Yes. I recently bought a modern furniture for our house. There are still lots of things to be replaced but I have to do it one at a time. I was not able to foresee something like this thus my savings are not enough to cover for all the loss. Maybe this December, I will be able to buy more with my Christmas bonus.

Thinking about the future over a cup of coffee

As I sipped in the coffee during one of my breakfasts, the future flashed in my mind. Suddenly, I became afraid. I saw almost nothing. I could not predict nor create an image. It was all blank. That is not good. Not good at all, I said to myself.

Honestly, I am not yet stable. Now, that is another thing that is not good. Yes, I am still young but I am not getting any younger. I am still an employee until now. I do not have money in the bank. I am like a chicken. What I work for is just enough or sometimes even short for our expenses. I need to have an extra income like getting life insurance leads maybe or buy and sell business. I must think of something that I am really good at. I must. I must. For my two kids. For myself.
