Mike Velarde for President?

Bro. Mike Velarde is the leader of El Shaddai movement. It is his 70th birthday today! Happy Birthday!

Some people say that he is considering to run for President in 2010. According to his interview at Magandang Umaga Pilipinas, he is still on a 50-50 mode regarding this matter.

He said that they have not found the right leader yet that his group will support. He is also disgusted with the presidentiables with early advertisements even if it is not campaign period yet.

Politics here in our country. I hope that Philippines would finally be blessed with someone who has pure intentions.

Boost traffic

I hope this blog would be at the directory list of many web directories. I am happy though that when you search for this blog at Google or Yahoo, it would actually come out, meaning it is already cached. That is quite an achievement for me already. At first, I was afraid to start blogging because I am afraid that no one would come to this blog. But now, I am more inspired after learning about free web directories that I could use to further boost traffic. I hope I have the luxury of time to go to the 200 free web directories and suggest this blog.

It all boils down to hard work, I guess!

More benefits

Is there a difference between the regular life insurance and term life insurance? I would ask my sister-in-law about it. Anyways, all I know is that it is life insurance and it is a good idea to get one. I do not have any kind of insurance yet except for the mandatory insurance for private employees. It is called SSS here in our country. Every payday, a certain amount is being deducted from my salary to pay for that insurance. It is mandated by the government for employers to enroll their employees in this social security insurance system. Government employees have their own mandatory insurance too.

My sister-in-law has a term life insurance. She got it from a popular insurance company. She said that term life insurance is better because there are more benefits.

My Aunt misses Willie Revillame

I was watching Wowowee that day when Willie requested for the traffic insert be removed in his show. I somehow understood him but he was not able to say it in a very good manner. As they say, that is when you see good breeding.

To be honest, I am not that educated myself. I have been tactless many times too. However, this is different. Willie is a public figure. He should be very careful.

I watched him again in a late showbiz talk show and he was apologizing. However, he again insisted that it was part of his duty to the Filipinos and to the whole world? What? Yes, Willie might have a high rating show but it is not actually because of him. It is because, people or most poor people that come to the show wish to win some money. People go there not because of him or because of the show. People go there with the hope to win. Willie is just the instrument. He happened to be the host. Some poor people there perceive that the money comes from Willie? No, it comes from the sponsors.

I am not here to judge Willie Revillame. I am entertained by the show because of the people or the contestants at Wheel of Fortune. You really would get many inspiring stories there.

I think, if Willie would really like to apologize and seek forgiveness, he could have just said, sorry and need not to explain why he did it. Just accept that you committed a mistake.

My Aunt visited our house today. It was lunch time. Willie was not present in the show. She said that if Willie would be gone, Wowowee would be sad and lonely and many people would surely miss him. Well, she is one.

Everything new

By summer, we might be finally transferring to our new home! Yes, something that is all ours. I am happy to be able to buy a property that I could leave to my two sons someday. It is hard to rent or to tranfer from one place to another just to have a roof under your head. Now, we are thinking of some things to buy. As much as possible, we hope to move everything new there. I am now listing some important items like beds, chairs, tables, tv stand, cabinets and others. As for the appliances, I guess, we just have to keep what we have right now. That would take a lot of cash from the bank.

She, who loved us more

I was able to write about President Cory Aquino sometime last July. She was still alive then. Many Filipinos were praying for her recovery and that included me.

Yesterday, she was finally laid to rest beside her husband Ninoy. Well, for fellow believers, we know that she is in Heaven right now with the Lord Almighty. Just like my mother.

Everybody’s eyes ( for those who decided to stay home and not on the streets because of the rains) were glued on TV to mourn with the Aquino family. Even those who were in the office ( some companies have to maintain operations even if it was a Holiday) were given the privilege to mourn with the rest of the nation. My sister-in-law told me that there were two flat TV screens at their floor and was tuned in to the funeral mass for Tita Cory.

Kris Aquino-Yap, the youngest daughter of Tita Cory gave her most heartfelt speech and everybody cried with her.

It is really sad to lose someone we really love and who loved us even more.

Familiar faces

I was watching TV and saw familiar faces. The stars of my generation are still around. Some of them still look the same as they used to. What could be their secret? Maybe they are taking hgh supplement. I looked at the mirror. Oh, am I that vain? I used to. Maybe I should go back to being vain. I would like to look better again.

Modern world

Before, gps systems could only be used in the military, FBI or CSI and other private detective agencies, now, anybody who would like their vehicles be tracked could apply and get their own GPS system. Actually, even individuals could apply for one too. Certain models of mobile phones also have installed gps technology also. Modern world  really amazes me. I am excited what would come out next in the future.
