New simpler theme, etc.

I love my new template! Yes, it is very simple. I like everything simple. I hope that this would give me inspiration to write more posts. Maybe I would focus on what is happening in my country. I would also tell some stories about my sons and my empty lovelife.

The supposed last State of the Nation Address (SONA) of the president of our country was held yesterday. Would you believe that I woke up early for it? However, it was only after lunch when the lady president went on with her speech. I heard so many Thank Yous from her acknowledging the help of the congress in whatever her administration has achieved.

I watched Jejomar Binay this morning and he compared the SONA of Gloria Arroyo with that of Ms. Corazon Aquino’s last SONA. He said that Gloria’s was full of arrogance while that of Cory’s was full of humility.

As for an ordinary citizen like me…I just hope that every public servant would be a public servant in the real sense of the  word.

As a gift to my son for his thirteenth birthday, I bought him a new mobile phone. His first question was if it was locked or unlocked. Well, he was happy to learn that it was unlocked.

Manny Pacquiao: the greatest fighter in history. Gloria mentioned this in her State of The Nation Address just a while ago. It is true, Manny has to fight his weaknesses first before he could defeat his enemies. Gloria said that Manny’s footsteps  should be followed by every Filipino.

Let us all box, then! Kidding aside, we could box in our own ways. We all have enemies to fight. We just have to have enough determination like Manny to beat those.

Horse shampoo for her hair

I was in the supermarket and I happened to pass by the section for horse supplies. Not really a big one but only the commonly used for horse like shampoo, clippers, syringes and the like. Then, I went to the soap and section. There was the horse shampoo again. Well, one celebrity here in our country said that she is actually using horse shampoo and it makes her hair more beautiful compared when using the ordinary shampoo.

Eating good food

My sister is asking me to search for diet pills. She was diagnosed to have fatty liver and was advised to go on a diet. She really has to lose some weight. She worked abroad before and there was where she became obese because of the cold weather and uncontrolled eating. She said that instead of being homesick all the time, eating good food had been her comfort.

Second time

One of my friends told me that a robber entered their house for the second time. Imagine, someone was able to break in without their knowledge? It was really scary. I advised him to buy a security alarm system.

Well, it was raining hard last night and they thought of not using the air-conditioning unit but open the windows instead. Moreover, he forgot to close the door towards the fire exit. That was where the burglar came his way in.

Adolescents

My sister informed me that my son went with his Uncle to his another Uncle yesterday. They used the motorcycle and did not mind if it was raining heavily. These two were really stubborn sometimes. It would be my son’s birthday next week and my oldest brother advised him to go to his place for his gift. His Aunt advised him to just go there when the weather is already good. My son replied that he has no time anymore and has other things to do the coming days. Oh, adolescents! I miss my mother who used to scold him. This is becoming harder everyday as my son becomes more hard-headed. Anyways, he is safe now and luckily did not get any flu nor a simple cold.

Grandfather at 40

We had some visitors two days ago. My niece was inviting us to the baptism of her son on Sunday! How time flies! I was just taking of her when she was still a baby. That was how many years ago? Oh,I am already a grandfather at 40′s? To think that my brother had his first son when he was 42. Oh, well, some people bloom faster than the others, eh?

One of the hardest parts when attending a celebration is choosing a gift for the celebrant. My sister suggested that we should buy an uppababy vista stroller. Not a bad idea, huh! It looks lightweight but at the same time durable. I just have to confirm if they do not have one yet.

Spam, wordpress, theme

Because of the too many spam comments at my comment inbox, I was able to delete even the legit comments from blogger friends. Forgive me guys. I just do not know how to trap those  spammers. I removed the Akismet because of some problems here before. Anyways, rather than the worse one, I guess I should just be more patient with those spammers.

By the way, anyone there who had upgraded to WordPress 2.8? How was it? Is it better?

Honestly, I have not explored this side of blogging. You know, those updates and all. I just leave it to the host.

However, I am planning to change this template soon…I am still learning and choosing which one would be better.
