No crying because of a toothache

My cousin lives in New Jersey. I called her today because it is her birthday! Well, unfortunately she is not around. Her mother said that she has an appointment with the dentist. I forgot. My cousin always go to her orange nj dentist every six months. Yes, she has great set of white teeth. Indeed, she has a good smile. That reminds me. I should bring the two kids to the dentist today. This early, I would like them to be aware of the importance of oral care. I do not want to hear boys crying because of toothache. :)

The Family Clown

Do you have a clown in your family? I was watching Kris Aquino some months ago and she mentioned that she is the clown in their family. Maybe because she talks a lot. But really, Kris Aquino is such an intelligent woman. She is the youngest daughter of the former President of the Philippines, Crazon Aquino. Kris is also the son of Ninoy, a Pinoy hero. Imagine that pressure in a name! She was living in a big fish bowl but she did not care. She did what she had to do. She had some not so good experiences in the past but she was able to stand tall again. Look at her now.

Do I admire Kris Aquino? As a man, yes. I want a woman of substance like Kris Aquino. But, I do not like much talk.

Happy Father’s Day to Me

Last Sunday, Father’s day was celebrated by the many. What do I expect from two kids? There was! My sister dropped by and celebrated with us. Well, my kids did not give me any presents and they actually did not greet me a Happy Father’s day for the past years. This year, they did! Maybe my sister told them to. Thanks, sis!

Looking forward to weekends

June 12 is Philippine Independence Day. There were no classes and even last Thursday, classes were also suspended. Today, the kids are back to school. The house is basically empty at 630AM. We all went out. My brother brought the kids to school and I had to report for wok by 8AM. Weekdays would be like this. That is why, I am looking forward to weekends and I hope that like this past Saturday and Sunday, happened to be my off.

Ready for death

We are watching a local soap opera right now. It features life’s daily experiences and trials. The topic right now is about the father of one of the priests. He is dying of colon cancer. The main character there, Santino is a blessed child who could heal the sick. He tried to heal the priest’s Dad but the Dad refused. He said that he is ready for death.

Me, I would never be ready for death. Not just yet. My kids are still very young to be left alone.

Do I need a woman in times like these?

The rain does not stop . The classes were suspended twice this week. My kids were happy. Maybe they are not yet ready for school? I had a problem before with my eldest. He actually stopped schooling for one year. It was hard for us to convince him to go back to school. He had so many reasons. He said that he was sick and all kinds of excuses. Finally, after one year, he went back to school. I hope that for this year, I would not have the same problem.

In times like these, I am thinking that maybe having a woman by my side would make things easier. Do you think so?

Fresh environment

What I like about the place where I buy my house and lot is its fresh atmosphere. Since it is located in the sub-urbs, it is not as polluted yet. Moreover, there are many trees planted in the area. I am thinking of planting my own paw paw trees and would also suggest to the homeowners association to plant this kind of tree. It does not grow as tall.More importantly, it is fruit bearing thus we have something to look forward to as it ages. :)

Night shifts

Now, I am more pressured to work harder. After learning that there would be night shifts at public schools because of exceeding number of enrollees! Many many students but no classrooms! Good thing that at my kids’ school, there are no night shifts being offered yet or it is not yet needed. I really hope that it would not be implemented in the elementary levels.

I really could not believe it that there are 93 students in one classroom. Boy, with the roll call alone, the class hour would already elapse! What would the students learn, huh? That is one sad reality… Indeed, the poorer gets poorer… Imagine, going to school but not sure if you would really get something out of it. No wonder other kids back out especially if they are going to a public school.
