The sellers
My nephew is clever. He asked my son to sell used books. Well, it is not like they are going to be hired by a used book store but they are actually to sell their own books! Why donate it when you can earn money from it? Clever, is it not? Now, they want to sell everything from used clothes and old toys! Teenagers, huh! I gave my permission to them as long as they do not touch my things. They can sell everything they want to sell. Good luck, guys!
No dark circles
My nephew is just starting to use the pencil. He is in grade 1. Actually, he is good in drawing but using paint application in the computer and in his sketcher board but in paper using a pencil, even dark circles are not recognizable. He still has to learn how much pressure he should give for him to be able to write or draw using pen and paper. My sons did learn and it was really amazing. Kids do learn in school. Yes, with parents’ guidance, they could be better.
Big ones
I have already mentioned in my past entries that I am vain. Well, I want to stay young that is why I take care of my skin. It is not unusual for men anymore to do that. Recently or last father’s day, I was able to watch in a local morning show about treatments that both women and men can avail in the popular cosmetic clinic. I wonder if they have magazines also featuring testimonials of their clients. I am interested in acne treatment reviews because I am really prone to breakouts. Big ones! Yes, you call that the dreaded ACNE.
Look younger
Put at a place that is out of reach or could not be reach by kids. You see this phrase at some cosmetic products like eye creams, right? I could still remember that I was able to ingest some eye cream when I was still a child. My Mom was really conscious about her skin back then. Well, she has fair skin and she was really beautiful. Eye creams really did help her maintain that. Thus, we, her children also have this regimen. We make sure that before going to sleep, we wash our faces and put cream on it. After all, we all age so why not at least look like our age or maybe if we are lucky, look younger.
Good insurance system
My friend back in high school visited me and was very insistent for me to look at the insurance quotes that she brought with her. She was trying to convince me to get an insurance as she said that I have two kids and my two sons are still very young. It is best for me to prepare for their future. She made sense but I do not have budget yet for insurance. I know that somehow it is necessary. Other countries have a good insurance system in the government side. I am waiting that to happen here in our country.
Maternity leave
My niece is done with prenatal vitamins. She just gave birth two days ago. It is a bouncing baby girl! How time flies! I used to take care of my nieces. She is the daughter of my eldest brother that is why I was tasked to baby sit her before. Now, she has her own baby! Well, she will stop working for a while to attend to her child. How she wished that we live in a first world country where maternity leave is for one year! Here in our country, only sixty days. Paging, president elect!
Make herself look better
Women do not stop in discovering and trying diets for quick weight loss. Okay, not all women but those women who are trying to lose weight without hard work or exercise at all. I hope my sister will not be able to read this or maybe she should. I am telling you, she is big. I really do not know if she plans to lose some weight at all or what. Her husband is working abroad and maybe that is the reason why she is not encouraged or inspired to at least make herself look better. I am talking in a man’s point of view and I believe that since my sister and her husband still see each other when they chat, my little sis should at least make an effort. Who knows? When her hubby sees that she is getting slimmer then maybe he will pursue that long overdue vacation.
Witty and funny lady
Believe it or not, I talked to the old lady in the store shopping for shoes. She was friendly and she smiled at me. Hey, what was I doing in that department? Oh, it happened to be the shoes department for boys and it was the old lady who was sort of lost.
Anyways, she said that she prefers men’s shoes because her feet are big. She also mentioned that she was not blessed with beautiful feet. Then she quipped, ” at least I do not have adult acne “. Very witty lady? Oh, by the way, she was quite funny. I got some pimples, big ones on my face during that time. No, I was not affected at all.
My present obsession
I am really obsessed with lcd monitor. It is my new apple of the eye. It is just that, I do not have the money to buy it yet. Speaking of what one wants and what he really needs. I guess, I need it! Yes, all the things that we want, suddenly become a need because it has to be or else, we will become obsessed. It does not only happen ion shopaholic women but in men too. I am sure that many can relate.
From Muhammad Ali
“Only a man who knows what it is like to be defeated can reach down to the bottom of his soul and come up with the extra ounce of power it takes to win when the match is even.”
– Muhammad Ali
I offer this quote to all those who fought a good fight this recent elections. I salute all those who conceded this early even though the Congress has not started its official canvassing of votes. Noynoy Aquino is already considered as the winner of the presidential race. As of the VP position, it is a neck to neck fight between Binay and Roxas.
What can I say? I just hope that there will be hope for our country. Yes, I was able to cast my vote.
I am proud to be a Filipino.
